The DSV (Dive Surface Valve) comes standard on the Hollis Rebreathers PRISM 2. Functionally, the DSV allows the diver to manually open and close their mouthpiece so as to control when and if they want to be breathe on the loop. Proper use of the DSV prevents water from entering the rebreather when the mouthpiece isn’t in the diver’s mouth.
