Three Steps to Scuba Certification

You can earn your scuba certification with Paragon Dive in three steps. Our dive training courses start with eLearning, followed by confined water training in a pool, then a series of open-water dives at a location of your choice.

Step 1: eLearning Course

Start your open-water scuba diver class with an eLearning course. This course allows you to master all the vital academic information before you get in the water. Aspiring divers can complete this phase through self-study, at their own pace, in the convenience of their home or office. All eLearning courses are available on mobile and tablet devices.

Step 2: Pool Training

The next step to earning your scuba certification is completing in-water skill-development training. During this step, new divers will familiarize themselves with the water and dive equipment while learning safe practices to prepare for open-water diving. This training takes place in confined water, typically a swimming pool, under the supervision of an experienced Paragon Dive scuba instructor.

Step 3: Open-Water Dives

The final step in our scuba certification course is completing the required open-water training dives under instructor supervision. During this step, divers will apply what they have learned during their academic and skill-development sessions while learning practical lessons they can only gain through real-world experience in open water. This step occurs in a larger body of water, specifically a lake or the ocean.
